Born and brought up in Bangalore. Moved to California and was in hi
tech field for past 30 years in Cisco Systems, Nortel, Alcatel, Tandem
Computers, etc.
MUSICAL EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Mano Murthy has had formal education in Western classical music and
was a student of maestro Zakhir Hussain for a couple of years. He
started composing for various albums and films since then. During
his college years, Mano was the lead member and percussionist of a
pop band called the Sonics that performed regularly in Bombay, Goa,
Madras and Bangalore in beat shows. Composed and produced independent
pop albums in San Francisco bay area in California.
